Raaheela Ahmed, former member, Prince George’s County Board of Education and candidate for Maryland State Senate
A first-generation American Muslim woman of Indian and Pakistani descent, Raaheela served on the Prince George’s County Board of Education from late 2016 until early 2022, where she championed transparency, challenged inequities, and pushed for culturally responsive curriculum.
Dexter McCoy, Commissioner, Fort Bend County, Texas
Dexter has served as commissioner since January 2023. The son of a teenage mother and a biological father who was incarcerated for much of his childhood, he began his public service career as an appointee in the Obama administration.
Crystal Dávila, Trustee, Pasadena Independent School District, Texas
Since 2021 and now in her second term, Crystal has served as the youngest trustee elected to the Pasadena Independent School District Board of Trustees. A daughter of Mexican immigrants, she taught high school math for six years.
Markus Ceniceros, Member, Littleton Elementary School District Governing Board, Arizona
Markus has served as governing board member since January 2023. He ran for the position as a high school student to provide a voice for students as well as wanting to support the Littleton staff.
Amanda Rodríguez, City Council Member, San Marcos, Texas
Amanda has served on the San Marcos City Council since 2025. Her priorities have included criminal legal system reform and tenants’ rights.
